A STORY ACROSS DECADES, CAPTURED IN FILM:

 

Liverpool playwright Michael McLean approached Küla to create a promo film for his play, Years of Sunlight — a story set in Skelmersdale, spanning three decades from the 1980s to the present day.

 

Filmed in early 2017, with Zoë Byrne’s beautiful cinematography capturing the frost-covered landscapes and striking winter light, the visuals perfectly reflected the play’s themes. Alongside Lisa Robson, I documented the shoot and later edited Zoë’s footage into a compelling short promo film.
