A GENTLE MEANDER THROUGH BACK STREETS AND GINNELS
The Lost Property Office is a street photography project that takes a quiet, reflective journey through the backstreets of Manchester, uncovering the forgotten, the discarded, and the overlooked. From timeworn furniture left to weather away to wheelie bins patiently waiting for the bin men, each image tells a tale of neglect, abandonment, and the hidden stories of everyday objects.
In collaboration with photographer Zoë Byrne, this project was an exploration of the mundane and the beautiful in urban decay. Through our lens, we brought life to the forgotten corners of Manchester, transforming the discarded into something new and meaningful. We exhibited our work in 2010 at The Art of Tea in Didsbury, where it gained a thoughtful and appreciative audience.
