REFRESHING THE BRAND FOR A CLASSIC CAR PASSION PROJECT
For the brand refresh of Petrolblog, a YouTube channel and website dedicated to unappreciated and unloved classic cars, I worked to capture the essence of the channel’s unique focus. Knowing that Gavin, the channel’s owner and presenter, has a deep affection for classic French cars, I aimed to infuse the brand with the nostalgic charm of a 1960s or 1970s French brand identity.
The refreshed design draws inspiration from vintage French aesthetics, blending retro typography and color schemes with a modern touch. This approach not only pays homage to Gavin’s passion for French classics but also enhances Petrolblog’s appeal to a broader audience of enthusiasts who share a love for these often-overlooked vehicles. The result is a brand that feels both nostalgic and fresh, reflecting the unique character of the channel while engaging a new generation of classic car fans.
