Every trainer has a story — a famous endorsement, a memorable movie appearance, or a local tale that’s transformed it from a simple shoe into a cultural icon. Inspired by this, I decided to channel my apparently limitless enthusiasm for drawing trainers into something more meaningful than just sketches on scraps of paper.

 

Narrative Threads is a collection of illustrations celebrating iconic footwear, exploring the stories that elevate these shoes beyond the ordinary and into our collective consciousness as true classics. This series followed in the footsteps of my earlier work, Three Stripe Alphabet.
