CREATING A CHARACTER TO EMBODY J.LEAGUE FAN CULTURE

 

For an illustration project commissioned by Mundial, a London-based football magazine, I was tasked with creating a character that embodies a J.League football fan. The character needed to be depicted wearing and carrying a variety of J.League merchandise from different teams within this vibrant Japanese football league.

 

This project was very enjoyable, as it allowed me to explore the unique culture and passionate fandom of the J.League. The final illustrations captured the enthusiastic spirit of the league’s supporters, showcasing their deep love for their teams. It was rewarding to see my work featured in print within the magazine, bringing the character to life for football fans around the world.
