LOCAL HISTORY

CELEBRATING LIVERPOOL'S HERITAGE THROUGH ILLUSTRATION

For this personal illustration project, I set out to celebrate Liverpool’s rich local history by focusing on some of the city’s most beloved landmarks and figures. The project features simple silhouetted illustrations of Sefton Park, Princes Park, Wavertree, and Greenbank Park, each paired with a quote from a notable historical resident or important figure connected to these iconic locations.

The goal was to capture the essence and heritage of these much-loved places by blending artistic representation with historical context. Through the illustrations, I aimed to create a visual story that celebrates both the beauty of Liverpool’s parks and the significance of the people who have shaped its history. The project reflects my personal love for the city and its cultural legacy.
