About the project:
For classic car nerds such as myself, jobs like this just don't come along every day. Since the middle of 2021, I've been given the chance to art direct and design a brand-new classic car magazine, and I mean really design one: no faux-heritage branding, no British racing green emblems, no tired clichés. The editorial team at C.R.M. wanted to do something new and interesting, bringing a modern design sensibility to a retro subject. The feedback from readers and social media followers has been overwhelmingly positive and in a short period of time we've built a reputation as the type of magazine that is unafraid to use a new design language in this sector, put something unusual on the cover, or devote ten pages to an obscure Czech luxury car from the early 1990s.
