CAPTURING LIVERPOOL WITH A 24-HOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY
In late 2006, I embarked on an ambitious personal project, spending 24 consecutive hours on the streets of Liverpool. My goal was to capture the city's soul through its overlooked details, its rhythm, and its moments of everyday life. The resulting photographs were the foundation for a series of 24 original paintings, created from the photographs as a starting point. The project was a true test of endurance and creativity. While it seemed like a great idea at first, as the hours wore on, I found myself questioning my judgment. By 5am the next day, I was convinced I'd seen enough of town to last a lifetime.
The project culminated in an exhibition at Almiro gallery in Waterloo, where the photographs and paintings were displayed together as a visual exploration of my experience.
